I highly highly recommend hiring a videographer to capture your big day! It was one of the best and I mean the best decision I made when planning our wedding. Not to mention Drywater Productions did AMAZING work..

The Making of a Fairy Tale Wedding!

Just in case any of you guys were interested in your own Cinderella, Fairy Tale Wedding here are the details!

• The DressMy dress is from Alfred Angelo in Beverly Hills, CA! It is from the Disney princess collection.. It's sleeping beauty's dress. Perfect for a fairy tale wedding! And they also make an identical one for little girls!! :) My junior bride wore it.

• The HangerEveryone needs a special hanger for your very special dress. I got mine from Etsy. It even has Cinderella's Carriage on top! 

•  The Shoes
  I went cheap on the shoes. I got them from Prom Girl. They were my "glass slippers" I loved them. I learned you don't have to spend a lot of money on the little things that doesn't matter like shoes. (I ended up taking them off at the reception anyways!)

• The Rings
  The rings are all from Jared. My engagement ring is perfect. I love it. My wedding band was custom made to fit perfectly with my engagement ring. As for his ring.. one word.. simple! But he loves it! 

• The Favors
  The favors fit in perfectly. Little Cinderella Glass Slippers.. I put pink, black and white sixlets inside of them. I also added a gem on top and made our "thank you" tags.

Just Engaged!!

The day has come. You finally just answered the most important question of your life.. You said "yes" to the guy of your dreams, the one you will be sharing the rest of your life with from now on.. Now that the excitement has passed by, the reality has set in.. This is about to be the busiest, stressful time of your life... Also the most fun, and exciting.. Being the first of my friends to get married, and being only 19 when I got engaged, 20 once I got married, this left me pretty clueless.. like what now? Where do I begin now that I have the ring? I do need to add that my wedding was a HUGE success. I still feel like I'm in a dream of how perfect my fairy tale wedding really was! Here are a few of do's and don't about being engaged to make this the best time (and as less stressful as possible) of your life!!

Let the planning begin!

• First thing first, GET YOUR NAILS DONE!! Everyone is going to be wanting to look at your beautiful ring, make your nails look pretty too.
• DON'T announce your engagement on social media until EVERYONE that is close to you knows first.
• DON'T let others plan your wedding. This is your day!
• DO get a Pinterest account. (if you don't already) - Now start pinning! From decorations, to photography ideas, Pintereset will become your best friend. WARNING: can be addicting! (pinterest.com)
• DON'T Pick your  bridal party right away.- This was the first (of many) mistakes I made. The excitement took over and I wanted everyone to know I was tying the knot. This left me with a lot of drama, tears, and heartache. Once all of the excitement has settled down a little bit sit down and think about who is always there for you? Close family members? Don't feel obligated to include friends who were once there for you, there is a reason they aren't close anymore. Figure out if you want little kids in the wedding, and how many girls you would like in your line.
• DO start a budget. Figure out if your parents are able to help with some wedding costs. I know it is hard to put a price on your dream wedding. But in reality this is a must, and good starting point. Think about what is the most important to you and your fiance. Where you would like to splurge, photography, decorations, etc.
• DON'T become a BRIDEZILLA!- Nobody will want to be around you, or talk about this very exciting time. Your friends and family are here to help and support you. Don't take it for granted. It doesn't get you anywhere. My bridezilla came out a few days before the wedding. All it did was caused people to get upset with me, and I just got more stressed out. Believe me people will ask how planning is going that is the ok to start talking about details.
• DO sign up for wedding websites- You will get daily emails of specials, ideas, and tips on planning your dream wedding! My favorites are www.theknot.com and  www.exclusivelyweddings.com. Some websites will send you free wedding invitation samples!
• DON'T let drama get to you- For some reason weddings mean drama! Remember this is your and your fiance's big day. Don't let anyone ruin that for you. At the end of the day all that matters is you are married to your best friend..
• DO be very careful when picking your photographer (any vendor for that matter)- Sit down with them and make sure you are both on the same page. Make sure that you will be getting ALL of the pictures not just a few. (My mistake number 2) Make sure you give them all of the poses you want and bring a copy with to the wedding! (in case they forget!)
• DO have someone help with decorating- I had a family friend do all of my decorating. It turned out beautiful and was a huge stress reliever knowing I don't have to worry about that.

I hope these little tips help in planning your big day. You are only a bride once... (hopefully) so make the best of these next few months. 

HONEYMOON

We went on our honeymoon right after our wedding. It was so much fun. We went to Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was an adventure to get to Jamaica, but once we finally arrived it was a week of no social media, no phones, no internet, just us and the beach!

We left on Sunday, June 3 from Madison, WI to Denver, CO. Our flight from Denver left at midnight. We were in Denver for about 3 hours. We had a layover in Florida. That layover was about 7 hours... It was the longest layover ever and we got no sleep. It was terrible.. But we made the best of it and were just glad we got to spend time with just us and we were finally husband and wife! When we got to Jamaica, we walked around and waited for the beach party to start. We were exhausted and went to bed fairly early.

Last Night!

I would recommend this resort to anyone. It was for adults only, which is nice not having little kids running around.. Probably about 85% of the couples there got married on Saturday June 2. There is so much to do and it's nice not having to worry about money except for souvenirs.
