3rd Wedding Anniversary!!
WOW! 3 years! Where do I even begin.. These past 3 years have been AMAZING!! I love being a wife and love being married.. It is seriously the best thing ever! I love being able to share my life with someone!
To celebrate our anniversary we were thinking about going out of the country but planned it a little too late and with moving and our hectic schedule we decided to just spend 2 more days in Denver then in the past! It was so much fun... We went to a winery, and become a wine club member! Bring on the wine! It was nice to learn about all of the different wines, and just spend time with Luke! We drove down to Greeley to apartment hunt.. might sound boring for our anniversary but it was a lot of fun.. We even test drove my new "future" car!! :) and ended the first day eating dinner at Red Lobster.. YUMMY!!
The 2nd day was our actual anniversary! We went to the Denver Zoo.. It was a lot of fun. We went to the puppy store and played with a goldendoodle.. (this is the same place we purchased both of our dogs and we would go on "dates" here all the time, brought back dating memories) We ended our day by celebrating at our small group.. It was the perfect anniversary!
Day 3- We woke up early to head to a ribbon cutting at the Culvers in Parker (Luke helped open that store) Culver's is kind of a big deal to us- I mean it's where we meant after all- We went shopping and bought each other watches! And ended the night with dinner at Melting Pot (tradition)
We had so much fun celebrating our anniversary! I can't believe it has been 3 years already! We have come so far in 3 short years! I wouldn't want it any other way!!
What I have learned about being a wife (so far)
It is the little things.. Some people say I go way out when it comes to celebrating our anniversaries.. It's stupid to make those shirts, why waste money on a photo shoot every year, the list goes on...
I feel like our weekly date nights, big celebrations, and the little things we do in our relationship is what keeps our relationship alive. We mix things up, it allows us to remember why we fell in love, it allows us to cherish our time together. We are both extremely busy working a lot that when we do get time together we don't take it for granted.. We don't have a perfect relationship by any means, and we are still learning and growing together..
We are in the process of making another big move! We will be moving to CO this summer.. Having to sell our house, find a new place to live, packing while still working crazy hours.. I am so excited for this big adventure and see where this will lead us..
That is about all for now.. Here is to another great year!
